Adoption is a healthy option!

Pet Extreme does NOT sell dogs, cats, kittens or puppies.

Although many people prefer to search for and purchase a specific cat or dog or a specific breed of dog or cat, adopting a pet is also an option. Both methods are viable. With many reputable breeders available, and with many adoptable pets also available, Pet Extreme stores do not sell dogs, puppies, kittens or cats. We concentrate our efforts on selling the things that keep pets and their families happy and healthy.

We also believe that puppies or kittens should not spend their initial socialization periods in a pet store window - rather, they should be with their breeders or adoptive families, who give them the proper and loving care that they need until they are able to move into their permanent homes.

All too often, with the purchase of a puppy or a kitten from a pet store, the buyer knows far too little and this can often lead to unexpected results. With an adoption and in many cases a purchase, you can meet the temporary person or family responsible for the pet, and they will give you honest descriptions about the pet's temperament - because they want the pet to be adopted or purchased by the right family just as much YOU want to adopt or purchase the right pet.

We are compiling and building a listing of reputable AKC and CFA dog and cat breeders. If you meet the high standards of these organizations, we invite you to consider listing yourself on our site. We also provide excellent cost-savings for dog and cat breeders through our breeder programs.
