Pet Groomer

The groomer will be responsible for active day-to-day pet grooming activities including highest quality pet grooming, scheduling of grooming appointments, cleanliness, appearance and organization of grooming facility, friendly and effective interface with clients and their pets, accurate check-in/out of client pets, other activities as requested by the store director

Primary Requirements:

We desire an experienced groomer, a self-starter with proven grooming abilities. Must be self motivated, driven to succeed and above all a team player. Our ideal groomer candidate will possess excellent communication skills, an excellent work ethic, a firm commitment to quality, a solid understanding of pet grooming with heavy grooming experience. Our ideal groomer candidate will also fit comfortably within multiple areas of store operations.

Aquatics Manager

The Aquatics Manager is responsible for operation of the store's aquatics department including knowledgeable sales of fish and aquatic products, working with other store and aquatics associates, direction of tank medicating, ordering, aquatic care and maintenance records, and the monitoring and setting of controls related to aquatic equipment includign including several banks of computer-controlled salt, freshwater and reef display aquariums and a large salt water shark tank.

Primary Requirements:

The ideal candidate will self-motivated, will possess strong customer skills, and have the ability to manage an aquatics staff.  The aquatics manager must have knowledge and understanding of the nitrogen cycle, knowledge and understanding of setting up and maintaining all types of aquariums including freshwater, salt, reef and pond, knowledge and understanding of fish diseases and parasitic issues as well proper cures and treatment methods.

Other Requirements:

Retail Associate

The Retail Associate is the first contact a customer has with the store.  The Retail Associate is responsible for providing extreme customer service to all customers in all areas of the store, including directly interfacing with customers, functioning as a friendly cashier, performing carry-outs of customer purchases, product stocking as necessary, clean-ups and other store-related duties as requested by the store manager.

Primary Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be friendly, outgoing, and must possess the ability to work well with people and pets of all types.  Must be willing to learn about products and services offered by Pet Extreme and to assist customers in all areas of store operations and functions, including greeting customers, recommending correct products, and acting as a cashier.

Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Director in the daily operation of all facets of sales and operations of the store, and over time, gaining the knowledge, experience and ability to manage a store on his or her own. The ability to manage people and a firm understanding of the sales and inventory control process are also initial necessities.

Primary Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, and will be a self-starter with proven ability to prioritize and multi-task. Must be self motivated and driven to succeed. Our ideal assistant store manager candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a firm commitment to team building and coaching, and will maintain open availability scheduling. This individual will have a strong background in customer service and retail. Management and basic understanding of computers is a plus.  The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, will possess strong customer skills, and have the ability to manage a staff.

Stocker

The Stocker is responsible for the timely placement of incoming and received product onto the sales floor.  The Stocker is also responsible in assisting in the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and store, some customer service interaction as needed, following safety procedures and other store-related duties as requested by store management.

Primary Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess a basic understanding of inventory and sales. Customer service and/or people skills, are also needed. Able to multi-task and prioritize work on a daily basis and work with little supervision. Must be self motivated and driven to succeed.

Other requirements:

Pass mandatory drug test, have reliable transportation to and from the store, work flexible shifts if needed, basic familiarity with computers or touch-screen systems is a plus. Forklift certification is also a plus, although we will provide safety training and certification.
